Hard work and commitment are at the cornerstone of Ilsa Mitchell Jencks’ 20+ years encompassing construction, development and real estate sales. She moved from Colorado in 1986, to Maui, where she had worked for top developers, contractors and real estate sales offices.
In the early 90’s Ilsa joined C. Brewer Homes, Inc. on Maui serving as sales and marketing manager for the company’s projects located in the Master Planned Community of Kehalani, the neighborhoods of Kaimana and Halemalu. After working to establish Kehalani as a thriving residential community, Ilsa continued on with other successful developers marketing and selling their projects. During this time, Ilsa earned a well-deserved reputation for her hard work, honesty and integrity.
In 2010, Ilsa joined The Wailea Group LLC and partners with Josh Jerman R(B) in order to bring a more specialized, professional, responsive service to buyers and sellers.
Ilsa takes pride in her terrific career and also believes in giving back to the community. Whether it’s helping our youth get back on their feet or supporting Hawaii’s cultural programs, Ilsa’s passion is making a difference in enriching the lives of others. Ilsa co-founded “Dreams Come True” a fundraiser for American Cancer Society, in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Each year the benefit is held during the month of October to educate, bring awareness and advocate that “early detection can save your life.” She serves on the Boards of American Cancer Society Hawai’i Pacific Inc. and Ka Lima O Maui, which is a community rehabilitation program that delivers vocationally directed services to the disabled and economically disadvantaged providing the support necessary to sustain employment and to maximize their productivity and self-reliance. She is a past Board member of the Friends of the Children’s Advocacy Center and raises money for the Maui Arts and Cultural Center, while also donating to the Boy Scouts of America, Maui Youth and Family Services, Maui Humane Society and Seabury Hall to name a few.
When not practicing her real estate trade, Ilsa spends time with her family (her husband Charlie Jencks and stepson Peter). Her hobbies include cooking, reading, raising herbs and orchids, Bikram yoga and enjoying all that Maui has to offer.
